Google Music officially launches
- Google Music is now open to all US residents – music.google.com
- Partners include Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, EMI, and more than 1,000 prominent independent labels
- Users can purchase tracks and albums from market.android.com/music
- The official Google Music Android app has been updated (v 4.0.9)
- Over the next few days, the music store will roll out to Android Market on devices running Android 2.2+
- Like the beta program, users can load up to 20,000 songs to the cloud at no cost
- Songs purchased through Google can be shared on Google+
