Taking Action on Google+
Aug 22nd
If I block someone on Google+, can that person still see the things I post?
The person you blocked can still see the content you shared before you took decisive action, but cannot comment on it. Any posts, photos, or links you share with the Public—outside of various your Circle groups of Family, Friends, Acquaintances and so on—may be visible to the blocked individual.
When you use the Block command (which appears on the left side of that person’s Google+ profile page), you will no longer see that user’s posts appearing in your personal stream or within your Incoming feed from people outside your circles. Blocking people also removes them from your personal circles, and they will not be able to tag you in posts or comments.
Google+ does not notify someone that you have blocked him or her. However, the block may become evident from the lack of visibility and limited interactions with you.
G++ Adds Facebook & Twitter Stream In Google+ With Full Functionality
Aug 20th
SGPlus was a Chrome extension reviewed last month that allowed you to bring Facebook and Twitter feeds to your Google Plus stream making the move to the new network a lot simpler. While the extension itself had almost every feature you could possible want, we found one that takes takes it up a notch. G++ outshines the previously viewed extension in two ways; it isn’t just for Chrome, there’s also one for Firefox and the new extension doesn’t have a lag time before it can show your Twitter feed like in the previously reviewed one. You can toggle between feeds by simply checking or unchecking the boxes integrated in the Google Plus interface. The extension lets you see incoming news items from Facebook and allows you to like, comment and share items, it also lets you see your Twitter timeline and lets you reply/retweet from Google+.
Once installed, the extension will add three checkboxes next to Streams in the middle column. The G+ column is already checked, check the Facebook and Twitter boxes to connect your account and your streams will start appearing automatically. You can like and comment on news feeds from Facebook or retweet tweets directly from the Google Plus interface.
In addition to that, you can toggle any news feed on or off by unchecking the box on top or switch the extension off from the Google Plus interface by selecting the off checkbox next to the extension’s icon on your Google+ page. The extension also adds a Refresh Stream button that allows you to check for new feeds and tweets across all three accounts.

Google+ Games
Aug 13th
My family has a games closet. Inside you’ll find a few decks of cards, two decades’ worth of board games and a Twister mat for those times when we’re feeling limber. Playing games is a great way for us to spend quality time with each other (and a little healthy competition never hurt anyone either).
Today we’re adding games to Google+. With the Google+ project, we want to bring the nuance and richness of real-life sharing to the web. But sharing is about more than just conversations. The experiences we have together are just as important to our relationships. We want to make playing games online just as fun, and just as meaningful, as playing in real life.
That means giving you control over when you see games, how you play them and with whom you share your experiences. Games in Google+ are there when you want them and gone when you don’t.
When you’re ready to play, the Games page is waiting—click the games button at the top of your stream. You can see the latest game updates from your circles, browse the invites you’ve received and check out games that people you know have played recently. The Games page is also where your game accomplishments will appear. So you can comfortably share your latest high score—your circles will only see the updates when they’re interested in playing games too.
If you’re not interested in games, it’s easy to ignore them. Your stream will remain focused on conversations with the people you care about.
You’ll have a fun initial set of games to play with on Google+. Thanks to the developers who’ve worked with us to make them available:
If you’re a developer interested in building games for Google+, you can learn more on our new Google+ developer blog.
Today we’re starting to gradually roll out games in Google+. We look forward to making them fully available to everyone in Google+ soon. When you see a Games page in your account, please give games a try and send us feedback. Look for the “send feedback” button in the bottom right-hand corner of any page in Google+. Thanks for playing! Like the rest of the Google+ project, we’re just getting started.
Games aren’t available to all Google+ users because the feature is slowly rolled out. When you see a new tab at the top of the page, next to the search box, you should be able to play games.
