Police should have better training before confrontations but what fun would the be.

I need your ID and I need to grab you for my protection, you don't have any rights and if you move I will shoot you dead because I will go home, but maybe not you.

When you come in contact with a cop there's a 50 percent you will die or go to jail because officer safety comes first before yours.

I see nothing in here about civilian rights or how to be human, just about how to be aggressive and dominant to all around you. I think they have the killing part downpacked.

35 recruits endeavor to join an exclusive profession that exemplifies these values and transform from a civilian to a State Park Police Officer, all for various reasons.

How hard is it to pass the Police Academy

Hello, and you guessed by my opening , my answer is yes . It not only psychologically hard, but physically hard as well.

When I went through, it was an 18 week program. Now that might not seem much to you you, but let me tell you what all goes on during these 18 weeks.

In fact, let's just start Wayne before we even began the police academy. First before you even start, You have You are required to pass the written test, the interviews, the background checks, a drug test, last but not least, you have to get a clearance from your doctor so you will be able to participate in the much demanding physical exercise and training you will be receiving in the academy.

Okay great You made it this far, you are now a very proud and cannot wait to start.

When I went to the academy, and mine was ran somewhat like a boot camp style. We were to form in some type of group formation, to be expected, and it was pretty wrap on me, because I had no clue how much expect. I had never been in military, and I had never been in law enforcement.

So to make a long story short, I attended classes at Monday through Saturdays, at anywhere from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. . We had night range to qualify with our side arms and shotguns. There were times I would not get home till 11:00 or 12:00 midnight, and still had to study for the next day. I had to learn vehicle codes, penal codes, search and seizure laws, etc etc etc etc.

So it's all this memorizing and learning I still had to work on my physical abilities. We had a physical agility test that we had to pass. And I did fail to mention that if we did not pass one of our tests we always had one chance and one can't only to remediate that test, and if we fail we got dropped from our course at the academy.

So it was 16 weeks into the academy, this was my second time, I had to remediate from my first time failing my physical agilities test. And I'll say it again I was in my 16th week, and I failed.

So yes that police academy is very hard to go through, but you're going to have to want it and wanted that.

I wanted it and I wanted it bad, so what did I do ? I paid my way through it again. The very next academy, I went through it all all over, again. And at the end of that 18 weeks, I walked across a stage and cried, I cried when I was handed my graduation certificate.

I graduated second out of My class of 48, and was hired within 2 weeks of graduation, and became a Kings County Sheriff's Deputy.

So my answer to your question is yes that is hard It's very hard. But if you want it bad enough, No matter how hard it is, you'll get it.
