Taken to the ground after reportedly telling traffic stop cop 'none of your business'

This young suspect wasn't supposed to be arrested, but the situation escalated after he was pulled over.

It started when a police officer in Florida caught Justin Blaine Vermeulen driving 53 mph in a 30 mph zone on Sunday morning, June 2, his arrest report said.

“I noticed the rear window tint appeared to be darker than Florida statute allows,” the report continued. “Also, for officer safety, I was unable to see in the window, so I asked Justin to lower the window, which he did.”
Then, the officer wrote about explaining the reason for the traffic stop and he noted, “Justin was shaking and appeared very nervous behavior [sic].

“I asked for his Florida driver license, registration, and proof of insurance.

“Due to his nervous behavior, I asked where he was going, while he searched for his documents.
“He replied he was going to work and that he owns his own business.
“I asked where his job was, and he replied, ‘None of your business.’”
Two other officers arrived to assist

Then, “Due to the window tint being suspected of being in violation, I went to retrieve the department issued tint meter from my patrol vehicle.

“Due to Justin’s suspicious behavior, he was fidgeting within the vehicle and attempted to roll up the windows to prevent me from being able to utilize my tint meter.”
One of the other officers “had him step out of the vehicle” and then gave “a lawful order to get his hands out of [his] pockets, and he refused.”
The first officer returned with that tint meter when “Justin approached me with his hands still in his pockets, while my back was turned to him.”

That was the beginning of the end.

The other officers “restrained him, taking him to the ground where he was handcuffed and secured.”
Then, he was searched and put in a patrol vehicle.

Vermeulen, 22, who had no criminal history, was charged with resisting an officer without violence, first “due to not obeying lawful orders and his approach to an officer in an aggressive manner,” and “then resisted officers as they detained him.”
He was also issued three citations: speeding, unlawful tint on the front window, and unlawful tint on the rear window.

His truck was towed, and he was released after an hour and a half in jail, in lieu of $1,000 bond.

“At no time did Justin explain why he resisted officers, and why he was confrontational,” his arrest report mentioned.
